For this personal work I wanted to do a voxelated version of a piece of fine art that would be easily recognizable while offsetting it against something that was realistic and in the original work. I landed on Magritte’s The Son of Man.

This was a personal piece designed to express the contrast between those in power and the rest of us. The golden rule is the ethical tenet of doing to others as you would have them do to you. However, in practice this is not how people generally act, often due to the constraints of culture itself. Those who follow wealth and power at all costs will walk over others, often without even realizing that they’re there.
