About the piece
For this personal work I wanted to do a voxelated version of a piece of fine art that would be easily recognizable while offsetting it against something that was realistic and in the original work. I landed on Magritte's The Son of Man.
A wall of angled, voxel-like blocks forms the silhouette of a bowler-hatted man; a single realistic green apple hangs where his face should be — a nod to Magritte’s The Son of Man.
